Retreat participants can arrive at the hosting congregation to verify their registration starting at 9am on the Saturday of the retreat. Please arrive no later than 9:30am on Saturday to allow time to check in as the weekend begins promptly at 10am.
The weekend ends at 6pm Monday evening.
The setting is a fresh, different atmosphere away from home and school, in an accepting community of Christians who are willing to share themselves and their experiences--in talks, worship, prayer, fellowship, recreation, music and activities--because they care about how you see yourself, your ideals, your hopes, your dreams, and your problems. Participants stay and sleep at the host location for the entire retreat.
Comfortable dress clothes for the Communion Service. Ladies should not wear high heels or short skirts as you may be sitting on the floor at times.
Casual clothes for everything else (bring some clothes for recreation)
Towel, washcloths, and soap (showers area available)
Something to sleep on, in, or under (sleeping bags, blanket, pillow, air mattress, air mattress pump, cot, etc.). No beds are provided so you’re sleeping on floor.
Personal toiletries, medications, and other personal items
The remainder of your weekend fee if you haven’t paid the full $60
You will also receive a packing list upon the completion of your registration.
Watch, cell phone, tablet, laptop, or any other electronic device.
Food--all meals and snacks are provided.
Money, credit cards, or other valuables--everything is provided for participants on the weekend.
A car--we discourage participants from driving themselves to a TEC. It is preferable to be dropped off at the church by a parent/guardian/pastor/friend. There is often very limited parking available at the host location, and vehicles are not needed at any time during the weekend.
