We focus on the empty cross and easter lily at the center and on the loving hands of Jesus who poured out His blood for us--symbols of the resurrection, both Jesus' and ours.
As Jesus was buried like a seed into death, so we now are buried into the waters of Baptism (Romans 5:4) so that we may walk in the newness of life.
Our new life is symbolized by the tree bearing good fruit (Matthew 7:17) and the wheat (John 12:24) which is buried in order to bear much fruit in the kingdom of God.
Therefore, we praise the Triune God--Father (the creating circle), Son (His cross and hands), and Spirit (who comes to us in Baptism).

The W.H. Friedrichs family (Pamela, TEC #2) suggested that memorial funds donated at the time of Hank's funeral be used for a TEC chapel alter banner.
